Docuneering ATA Spec 1000BR CMP product details
Docuneering is extending their S1000D Print & Publishing solutions into the Civil Aviation sector by including PDF output for the ATA Spec 1000BR Component Maintenance Publication (CMP).
The stylesheets for this ATA CMP solution are written to the W3C XSL-FO standard and are published to PDF using the free and open-source Apache FOP print formatter.
We are also reviewing the process of converting an S1000D Publication Module into a CMP to implement a pure XSL delivery solution.

Also spent a bit of time reviewing the ATA CMP PDF bookmarks.
If there is only a single Data Module in a Topic then the bookmark links directly to that Data Module. If there are multiple Data Modules within a Topic, the bookmark will link to the first Data Module but the bookmark will also have a sub-level which lists all of the Data Modules included in the Topic.
- UPDATE: Tuesday, 3rd May 2022
Footnotes are configured at the Topic level and create a continuous count from start to finish.
Top level CDCCL marking can be included at the data module or even the Topic level by marking the publication module <pmEntry> element:
