Oxygen XML Author (S1000D® Framework)
Oxygen XML Author redefines structured content authoring with innovative features and a user-friendly interface, making XML technologies easily accessible to everyone. Users can benefit from standard frameworks (e.g. DITA and DocBook), publishing formats, review tools, and unparalleled extensibility. The authoring experience can be amplified by using the Oxygen AI Positron Assistant plugin to add AI tools for content creation, readability improvement, and flexible content restructuring. Since version 28.1, Oxygen includes built-in support for S1000D® Issues 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2; version 29 adds built-in support for Issues 5, 6 and 7.
Oxygen XML Author is a product of Syncro Soft SRL.
Oxygen includes a built-in S1000D® framework for Issues 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2, extended in version 29 to Issues 5, 6 and 7. It provides schema-guided editing, three layers of validation (schema, default BREX and project-specific BREX), context-aware content completion with inline specification documentation, visual authoring, Smart Paste, and ready-to-use templates for Data Modules and Publication Modules. The Oxygen S1000D Framework and our Docuneering S1000D Print & Publish capability work together to provide a complete S1000D authoring, validation, printing and publishing solution within Oxygen XML Author.
The Oxygen S1000D Framework provides the authoring features and a powerful validation engine, while the Docuneering framework provides enhanced S1000D Print and Publish capability for PDF deliverables.
Using the Docuneering stylesheets for both Print and Publish means that an individual Data Module printed to PDF for review will always match the published output, because Print & Publish stylesheets both use the same stylesheet CORE.
Important: This S1000D Print & Publish capability requires a separate licence from Docuneering.
What is the difference between S1000D Print & S1000D Publish?

We understand that sometimes it makes more sense to have a separate standalone S1000D Publishing capability that isn't tied to any single vendor. Our Docuneering S1000D Print & Publish capability is designed to be completely vendor-neutral which means it can be run from a simple Windows batch file through to a fully integrated S1000D solution.
